Recreating Responsibly in the West End

Code of Conduct

There are many things to do in western Colorado…particularly in the West End! Due to travel restrictions in other areas, the West End has seen an uptick in visitors and recreationalists. We ask you to treat our public lands as you would treat your own backyard. Stay on designated trails and byways, pack out what you pack in and tread lightly!

We educate our guests about following the Leave No Trace outdoor ethics program in regards to outdoors responsibly. The seven pillars below are what we abide by and expect our visitors to do the same.

  1. Plan Ahead and Prepare
  2. Travel and Camp on Durable Surfaces
  3. Dispose of Waste Properly
  4. Leave What You Find
  5. Minimize Campfire Impacts
  6. Respect Wildlife
  7. Be Considerate of Other Visitors
